GUI: windows, components and layouts

Programs with windows, written with JavaFX. An Application and its start method, the window (a Stage) and the Scene it shows, labels, buttons, text fields and text areas, the layouts FlowPane, BorderPane, HBox, VBox and GridPane, spacing, padding and alignment, and windows built from layouts inside layouts.
